Mission Downtown Business Association (MDBA) won the “Best in the West” Special Event Excellence Award for MissionFest 2022 at the BIABC conference in Victoria this weekend!
President of the MDBA Board of Directors Rocky Blondin accepted this award on behalf of the organization with Mission pride. The award represents the hard work of the previous MDBA Executive Director Miriam Bozman, alongside the Board of Directors, Sponsors, volunteers, vendors, artisans, City staff, community groups & partners, and all of the small businesses in downtown Mission, who come together each year to create MissionFest, a street festival like no other! Tens of thousands flock to downtown Mission for this annual celebration on 1st Avenue which includes music, dance, shopping, a foam party, foods vendors & trucks, a beer garden and a zipline!
This is a free event for the residents of Mission to visit downtown, connect with neighbours, shop, eat, play and build community.
MissionFest 2023 will be Saturday August 19th 2023 in downtown Mission on 1st Avenue, from 10am-4pm. Pet friendly, wheelchair accessible, street parking available above 2Nd Ave & drop off locations by Grand. Bring your friends and family for this very special event this summer!
