Press Release - Hallowe'en

Mission Downtown Business Association 7311 James Street Mission, BC

PRESS RELEASE - CANCELLATION OF HALLOWEEN TRICK OR TREATING IN DOWNTOWN MISSION

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the Mission Downtown Business Association announces the cancellation of this year’s annual Trick or Treat event (due to take place on Saturday, October 31st, 2020).

We know that this decision comes as an enormous disappointment to the community. Hallowe’en Trick or Treating has become a staple in our downtown and our businesses look forward to this event each year.

This is not a decision that the DBA board has taken lightly, Following increased and overwhelming concerns about the COVID-19 virus, we felt this was the best way to proceed during such an unprecedented global situation.

At this time, we would like to do a special shout out to the participating businesses and sponsors. It's these individuals and companies that have gone above and beyond over the past few years.

An enormous thank you to the kids and the parents who participate in our event each year. We will continue to do everything we can to help our community stay safe, informed and connected and we look forward to welcoming you back to trick or treat next year.
